Le mouvement sculptè – The sculpted movement

“The Sculpted Movement” Art Exhibition, until the 30th of April 2012 at the Homer Tactile State Museum

18 magnificent reproductions, that after having toured the Asian Continent among Taiwan and China, arrive to Ancona, contained at the Homer Museum. To enrich the art exhibition there will be the core of the Homer Museum new travelling Section, which is under preparation thanks to the support received for this project by the Arcus Association (Rome), for the Art, Culture and Show development.

Body movement, power, gentleness, jump, sensuality, calm. For ages, these have been some of the most charming art subjects, particularly strong and representative in the sculpture. A tour among masterpieces as the Amazon, the Icarus and Daedalus, and the Samothrace Nike, allows to enjoy and to sense the meaning of the movement in the sculpture.

The Gladiatore Borghese (Burgeois Gladiator), the Lo Schiavo Ribelle (Rebel Slave) by Michelangelo, or the Mercury by Giambologna: you will find real symbols that, most of all in the western civilizations, represent not only the Language and Art shapes evolution, but also the Time, the History and the Society progress. This art exhibition is organized by the Louvre Museum, representing the above mentioned historic-artistic itinerary, and therefore it is entitled “Le mouvement sculptè – The Sculpted Movement”.
